Movie Time: The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants (2005)

I have recently watched The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. (Whaaat? Just now? I know, I know.) I was not really a fan of the young adult genre back then. But now the rainy season's here, I've decided to watch movies that caught my attention before that I let pass by through the years. And this is the first one on my list.

I was pleased I chose to watch this over the weekend. It's such a light, feel-good movie that makes you look back at the special memories with your own clique. Not only did it give such a realistic portrayal of four teen's lives, but also showcased the beauty of different locations such as Mexico and Greece. Oh, I am truly in love with the scenic shots in Greece.

And just like the saying "There's more than meets the eye," this movie is definitely filled with life lessons and self-reflecting thoughts.

The scene that struck me most was when Bailey is already confined in the hospital and Tibby went to visit her.
B: I want you to do something for me.
T: What?
B: Finish your movie.
T: Why?
B: Because you can.

Riiiiiight? I mean, that is such a simple sentence but has so much value. It is enough reason to do something that you've been avoiding to do for so long. Because you can. No excuse can get any better than that.

How about you? Have you watched the movie? (Unlike loser me, that is.) What's your favorite line/s? Amel
